Probe into Several Issues on Development and Utilization of Groundwater Resources in Tianjin
Tianjin is one of the resource-based cities severely lacking of water resources. The intense water supply for many years made a great quantity of groundwater be exploited, and the over-exploitation of groundwater will certainly cause some environmental problems. We carried on investigations and statistics in resources situation, development and utilization, and pollution situation of groundwater in Tianjin, finding out that shallow groundwater is abundant in Tianjin but it is not evenly distributed, and the utilization rate is low;while the deep groundwater is severely over-exploited. We must strengthen management and work out plans to control exploitation and pollution, so as to realize sustainable development of groundwater.
