Study of health status among asbestos workers
Objective To study the health status and comprehensive work ability (CWA) among asbestos mine workers. Methods The ordinary personal information 、occupational characteristics, the NCD status and the occupational health service and CWA were collected by means of identical standard 515 questionnaires. Results There are 381 cases having at lest one kind of the NCD among the 515 cases, the prevalence rate is 74%. The top five diseases are musculoskeletal system disease, blood disease, digestive system disease, feeling sensory nervous system disease, respiratory disease. The average score of CWAI is 36.63±5.64. Conclusion The main factors affecting the prevalence rate of the NCD were income levels, working time and working methods. The average score of the CWAI among the asbestos mine workers is low, and the comprehensive work abilities decrease with age.
