Path following or deviating in catching up: Lessons from arduous course of Chinese CNC industry

摘要：

This paper examines the arduous course of the development of Chinese CNC 1 industry to get some lessons of catching up ways. Through evolutionary analysis and case study, we learn that latecomer should actively respond to change and find opportunities, no matter which way they take. The catching up support of government should use various methods and form a coordinated system.
