Processes of Maket Transition and the Emergence of Privately-defined Corporate Codes of Practice in China

摘要：

This paper examines the situations of workers in two communities of a newly arising market society, China. It considers the role of large foreign buyers within the Chinese market transition process, probing into whether such firms influence the emergence of new workplace standards （corporate codes of practice) in the country.
