Real Time Monitor and Forecast of Full Scale Static Test of Aircraft

Full scale aircraft static test is the most important test for a commercial aircraft trying to get an airworthiness certification, it is also costly and time consuming. For a newly designed aircraft struc ture, the test scheme design needs to be verified. We can not afford many specimens to verify a test scheme since the specimens are expensive. A real time monitoring and forecasting software for the ARJ 21-700 full scale static test is presented. With the support of this software, we can monitor all the strain and displacement data through a group of monitors and calculate the structure stress and safety margin in real time. It contains a database which stores all the material data, FEA model and results data, test strain gage and displacement transducer information, etc. The software can also compare the test data with the FEA and theoretical results, and forecast the next and the final test results based on the analytical and test data in real time.
