Modeling and Simulation of a flezible inverted pendulum system

This article established the dynamic model of a planar inverted flexible pendulum system under the frame of multi-body dynamics. By the simplification and linearization the state space equation of the system was also established for control design. The simulation method for such a coupled system by multibody dynamics program was also provided and verified by the simulation of a simple flexible pendulum sample. The research demonstrated a new method to design and verify a feedback controller of a flexible multi-body system.
