Numerical Researches on Aerodynamics of a 2D Multi-element High Lift Airfoil near Ground
Two-dimensional wing sections are investigated numerically both in clean and high lift confi gurations operating in ground effect. The compressible Navier-Stokes equations are solved by the finitevolume method. SST k-ω turbulence model is used. The effects of flight height on the aerodynamics of the airfoils are presented. The pressure distributions on the surfaces show the different changes betwee n clean and high lift element on the ground effect. The influence of ground effect on flow field of mu lti element airfoil is also analyzed in detail.
