Visualized Monitoring of Virtual Business Process for SOA
Business user oritented business process monitoring plays a key role for enterprises to improve business processes visibility and responsiveness. Usually an end-to-end business process is implemented by heterogenons technologies and their combinations in a SOA enviroment, for instance: Business Process Execution Language (BFEL), J2EE and any other technologies which can leverage Web service as composition interface. This paper introduces a business user oritented virtual business process monitoring model to represent the visualized process view associated with monitoring metrics.A virtual business process monitoring approach is provided to aggregate and correlate process execution status information produced by heterogenous technologies and components of a SOA solution. A real customer case study is presented at the end of the paper to illustrate the effectiveness of this approach.
