Research on Visual Simulation of Dam-break Flood Based on GIS
On the basis of GIS, the visualization of depth, velocity, discharge, damage param-eter, flood arriving time and other elements of dam-break flood is visual. These elements are overlaid on other relative geographical information and the visualization of dam-break scene is realized. The data structure and generation methods of DTM are introduced, and the tech-nique of visualization of dam-break elements by using DTM is discussed. In this paper, full advantage of the conjoint analysis between spatial data and attribute data is taken. The fun-damental principles of visual simulation of dam-break flood are discussed in the paper. The methods proposed provide a reasonable basis for reservoir dam security management emer-gency preparation plan, which have high application value.
