Taiwan Ezperiences for the Real Time Automatic Monitoring System Using in Dams
The average rainfall of Taiwan is 2 500 mm and 78 % of the rainfall comes from May to October every year, which indicates that the rainfall is quite unstable, with the short and steep river beds, the hydrological and water resources are quite uncertain in Taiwan. The sudden and huge rainfall brought by typhoon every year which effect of dam structure securi-ty by water level change. In order to control the structural dam security and water level change condition immediately, it challenges the reservoir operation and safety management in a complex manner. Due to requirements in construction safety, prevention and alarm or dy-namic, the construction and operation of dam is equipped with automatic real-time monitoring system slope and adjacent construction to monitor in recent years. In this paper, the struc-ture of automatic real-time monitoring system will be introduced, and additionally, the rea-son and effect of automatic real-time monitoring system applied in monitoring system imple-mentation project by the Shin-Shan dam case.
