Cause-effect Model-based Research on Arch Dam Deformation Safety Monitoring

Based on the principle of the cause-effect model, the factor set and the result set of the arch dam deformation have been constructed. And then the cause-effect mechanism of the arch dam deformation has been explored in depth according to the relevant physical and me-chanical principles. Furthermore, causal analysis chart, Analytic Hierarchy Process and fuzzy math have been integrated to calculate cause-effect importance degree and to build the cause-effect analysis chart. After the application of the wavelet analysis to extract the trend component of the dam deformation, cause-effect reasoning based on cases has been taken,combining with traditional regression model, to establish the cause-effect model on the arch dam deformation. Research shows that a more comprehensive analysis can be achieved on the arch dam deformation mechanism when cause-effect analysis theory has been taken into use.
