The Research and Development of Flood Risk Analysis System in Xinjiang Kezier Reservoir Downstream
The Kezier reservoir laid in Baicheng County of Aksu Prefecture is the largest built water conservancy project in Xinjiang. This reservoir takes much importance of the down-stream flood control, catchments area is 17 000 km2, and Storage capacity in it is 640 mil-lion m3. In this paper, the 1D hydrodynamics approach is applied to channel flood routing of the reservoir downstream, GIS and RS are used to establish the spatial database with attrib-ute of study area, DEM and spread algorithm are applied to analyze the flood submergence, and the method of overlaying analysis is used to evaluate the flood damage. According to the advanced requirements, the software is developed and system is integrated using the comput-er technology. The visualization of runoff and submergence, integration of statistics of dam-age and analysis are achieved in this system. The research results provide a powerful tool for the downstream to analyze of flood risk rapidly and make schemes of the flood resisting.
