Seismic Risk Analysis and Antiseismic Research of Xinjiang Kezier Reservoir
The seismic risk monitoring system of Kezier Reservoir is based on existing macro-seismic detection network, F2 active fault monitoring equipment, observation and analysis center, and antiseismic and risk prevention center. The system adds special graphic layers of tectonic pattern, potential epicenters, peak value acceleration zoning, and dam location to the GIS platform, in order to improve the software of seismic information transmission and digit-al dam disaster reduction system. The macroseismic monitoring information technology is ap-plied to support antiseismic decision making and dam operation management. The system iscapable of on-line processing of seismic acceleration curves transmitted from seismic monito-ring sub-stations. It analyzes important parameters such as maximum acceleration values from monitoring locations, dynamic magnified modulus of hydrotechnical structures, salience frequency, structural self-shake frequency, sustained seismic period, and judgment of reser-voir induced earthquake, to provide prompt and reliable support for decision making. In this way, a rapid seismic warning and primary digital disaster reduction system was accomplished on the Kezier Reservoir dam, which is the first one in China that was built on active geological fault, and effective post-earthquake restoration measures were also established. These efforts pro-vide grounds for research on technologies of dam construction on active geological fault.
