FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND DEPLOYMENT ANALYSIS FOR MULTI-RESERVOIR-BASED FLOOD CONTROL AND MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE SYSTEM
Reservoirs together with fiver channels constitute a complex network system for storing, regulating and conveying flows. In such systems, the operation of reservoirs is essential for the control and management of floods and the protection of people and interests in the relevant regions. The real-time analysis and decision making process are of utmost importance as a flood with a limited lead time develops under the ever changing reservoir storage conditions and varying fiver flood-conveying status. Therefore, the operation scheme/alternative for these reservoirs is the key element in commanding the fight against floods. After analyzing the comprehensive background of multi-reservoir-based flood control and management in real operational practices, the software system function requirements for different user groups are studied based on latest user requirements description on Chinas Yellow River. Some related issues are also discussed.
