ANALYSIS OF GROUNDWATER FUNCTION IN WESTERN JILIN PROVINCE
Groundwater function mainly includes resource function, ecological function and geologic environment function. Groundwater function of western Jilin Province is analyzed and assessed in this paper for the first time. According to the geologic conditions, hydrogeologic conditions and current development of groundwater in studying area, the Quaternary pore water is determined as the main assessment object. Basic units of groundwater function assessment are based on budget computation units. The method of assessment indexes has been used to analyze the groundwater function in study area, and the assessment result is favorable. The sustainability of Groundwater Function in most areas is medium to poor, while poor in massif area and tableland.Great attention should be paid to developing groundwater to prevent bad results.
