EXPERIMENTAL AND ANALYTICAL STUDY OF HYDRAULIC FRACTURING OF CYLINDER SAMPLE
Nine groups of hydraulic fracturing tests of thirty thick-wall cylinder samples were performed. The experimental results have been analyzed. The analytical method reported in some literatures based on Lame formula of the thick-wall cylinder is not exactly correct, infiltration theory of hydraulic fracturing is presented in this paper. Based on elasticity theory and mathematics, this paper puts forward analytic stress distribution of thick-wall cylinder under stable seepage state. (This conclusion is well consistent with the results calculated with commercial software). The theory presented in this paper can be applied for the research of hydraulic fracturing of rock masses. Failure condition of thick-wall cylinder on hydraulic fracturing is elementarily discussed and semi-empirical relationship on critical stress of hydraulic fracturing is summarized.
