STUDY ON NECESSITY OF SANYANGGANG GATE AT ESTUARY OF XINSHU RIVER
Regulation Works at Estuary of Xinshu River have the alternative of building Sanyanggang gate or not. Because of interaction of runoff and tide, deposition in the channel is unavoidable in case of either alternative. 2D flow-sediment numerical model is to simulate the amount of sediment, and compare water lever changed by sedimentation. In the aspect of flood control safety, Sanyanggang gate is necessary. Besides, two projects are compared on aspects of beach utilization and freshwater resource.
