THE DAMAGE AND MECHANISM OF SEDIMENT BY DREDGING FROM IRRIGATION DISTRICTS TO ENVIRONMENT IN THE LOWER YELLOW RIVER
For assuring irrigation districts natural function, the sediment aggraded in the canal and depositing pool must be dredged out termly, twain banks of canal were stacked high with the sediment after a considerable period of time, artifical desert came into being, it destroyed the environment around irrigation districts and threatened to the producing and living of people and economy development. First the paper introduces the austere actuality of stacking sediment, and then it summarizes modes of damage of stacking sediment, according as the keystone of movement of sediment, finally the degree and mechanism of damage of stacking sediment was analysed deeply, it trys to offers technical support to harness the damage of stacking sediment in the irrigation districts along the lower Yellow River.
