DESIGN OF THREE GORGES RESERVOIR HYDROLOGICAL AND SEDIMENT ANALYSIS AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The Three Gorges reservoir hydrological and sediment analysis and management system is developed by using Visual C++application program and OraclegI database. This system assists users to fast obtain the needed hydrological and sediment data, with all derived information,helps them to carry out fast analysis and assessment of the reservoir sedimentation status, and provides to them real-time analysis and display of the impacts affected by reservoir dispatching and operation on sediment flashing and silting transformation, thus serving as the basis to make timely readjustments in the reservoir operation mode. The developed system b rings about the digitized management of reservoir information, enhances the data spatial processing capability, establishes the related index table for processed results and provides functions of hydrological and sediment inquires,searches and table printing-out.
