RESEARCH TO THE STILLING BASIN TYPES OF THE SPILLWAY OUTLET

At the long spillway outlet, its common by hydraulic jump for the energy dissipation. This article based on the hydraulic modeling experiments of the River Dadus Luding hydroelectric stations the No. 2 spillway in Sichuan province. At first, it carried out a number of experiments on the stilling basin types of the spillway outlet. Besides, it made choice not only of the conjunction curve between the spillway body and the stilling basin, but also of the side wall and the stilling basin.At last, all of these can satisfy the design requirements.
