BLAST DESIGN OF ROCK EXCAVATION BASED ON VIBRATION COTROL FOR POWERSTATION-EXPANDED PROJECTS

For powerstation-expanded expansion projects, blast excavation is of cautious blasting. But it has special characteristics: assurance of normal operation for the existing powerstation, close to hydraulic structures and limited time and field for construction. Among all negative blasting effects, ground vibration is the most concerned problem. It makes a systemic summarization on controlling vibration and gives a series of design method to reduce vibration. A blast design case by this method is introduced, which is applied in Wujiangdu powerstation-expanded expansion project. Results show that the blasting construction by this design method can protect environment effectively, and that this method allows practical use by engineers who make blast design for such projects.
