EXPERIMENTS AND RESEARCHES ON FLOW-INDUCED VIBRATIONON OF LARGE RADIAL WORKING GATE IN SAND SLUICING CHAMBER

This writing mainly elaborates flow-induced vibration on large radial gate. We make researches about hydraulic load acting on gate structure, lay an emphasis on observing damaging vibration on gate induced by pulsating pressure load, acquire the intensity and spectrum signature of pulsating pressure, have an analysis on modal characteristics of gates liquid-solid coupling vibration. Through whole-hydro-elastic gate vibration mode we study flow-induced vibration response of gate structure. According to the result of original design static force characteristics of gate structure, it is concluded that the primary parts of radial gate structure should be controlled within the material permit to ensure comparatively large safety margin. Therefore, from the static force, there still are margins for lightening structure weight to make the materials further be used, thus fully give scope to its effect. In the end of this research, it is raised that structural weight reduction is related to two factors,properly improving material anti-stress level and giving attention to all the anti-vibration characteristics, which confers significant scientific meaning and project values on this research.
