STUDY ON THE MECHANISMS AND PROPERTIES OF REPAIR MORTAR FOR HYDRAULIC CONCRETE SURFACE

The acrylic emulsion mortar, silica mortar, high strength mortar, polypropylene(PP) fiber mortar and basalt fiber(BF) mortar were compounded and their compressive, flexural, split-tensile bond strength, abrasion resistance performance and microstructure analysis of SEM were studied. The result show that addition of acrylic emulsion into mortar obviously reduced the compressive and flexural strength of mortar but all other kinds repair mortar present excellent mechanical properties. Compared with the blank sample, the bond strength of repair materials has significantly enhanced. The binder of acrylic emulsion paste could improve remarkably bond property compared with the sample without binder. Addition of fibers had a meaningful effect in increasing abrasion resistance of mortar. Compared with the blank sample, wear ratio of PP fiber mortar decreased 46.7% and abrasion resistance strength increased 58.2% respectively. SEM analysis of 28 day paste show that emerge lots of glued shape hydrated products in acrylic emulsion paste and a large number of rod ettringite crystal and fiber shape CSH gels filled in silica paste. The addition of PP fiber and BF into repair mortar did not change the type of hydrates.
