NUMERICAL STUDY OF LARGE EDDY STRUCTURES SEPARATED FLOWS PASSING SILLS
In this paper, the instantaneous evolution of eddy structures in the separated flow passing sills was studied by using large eddy simulation coupled with a dynamics subgrid medel. The typical flow behavior was discussed in details. It showed that there was the complexity of vortex structures in down-stream of a sill. The mean velocity and the reattachment length of mean flow fields were obtained by statistic method, which was in good agreement with the experiment data and the typical structure of separated flows passing sills was also done. The present research paves a way for the further study of turbulence control and has a high valuable engineering application.
