EVALUATING OF HYDRAULIC OPERATION OF WATER MEASUREMENT STRUCTURES(CASE STUDY, KHUZESTAN, IRAN)
In this research two structures of water measurement in irrigation canals in Khuzestan irrigation nets with 35500ha area was analyzed. These structures are fixed (parshall flume)and automatics (Neyrpic modular). The operation of Neyrpic modular is analyzed in tow irrigation nets which is AVAN (13000 ha.) and VISS(5200 ha.). they are in X, XX and L class. Parshall flumes are calibrated in four nets which is FAJR&JAYEZAN(6500 ha.). SABILI(6100 ha.), GOTVAND(4700 ha.), BEHBAHAN(13500 ha.) and The result of observations shows that parshall flume operate with free flow in 72% cases, with submerged flow in 14.5% cases and in 13.5% they operate with over 95% submerged flow. In this paper statistical analyze show that there is difference between nominal design and measured discharge. Finally was suggested several ways for modifying and resolving of problems in these structures for each irrigation networks mentioned above.
