STUDY OF THE INTERNAL FLOW IN CENTRIFUGAL PUMP
Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) is successfully applied to investigate of the internal flow in the centrifugal pump, synchronization problem during measurement is guaranteed by using the shaft encoder and frequency dividing circuit. The experiments are conducted on different operating conditions, absolute velocity distributions in the impeller are obtained, and then relative velocity is obtained by using velocity resolution. Real flow in the impeller is further understood based on the analysis of experimental results.
