Optimization Analysis of Multi-band Pyrometry
This paper investigates how to optimize multi-band pyrometry under the fixed sensor characteristics. The theoretical optimization criteria are established for multi-band pyrometry in order to obtain the maximum and uniform temperature discrimination resolution. The traditional wavelengths optimization choice for multi-wavelength pyrometry is converted to the optimization analysis of the wave-band functions for multi-band pyrometry. Under the assumption of the two-parameter emissivity model and the specified wave-band functions with Gaussian distribution, the optimization examples for tri-band pyrometry are presented through numerical simulations. And a series of conclusions about the optimum distributions of wave-band functions are obtained. The optimization analysis is helpful to the designs and applications of multi-band pyrometer.
