A Proposal for Calibrate Rhodium-iron Resistance Thermometer by Few-point Schemes in the Range 0.5K to 25K
This paper proposes a method to calibrate RhFe thermometer in the range from 0.5K to 25K. As the temperature of 2.1768K is used as the reference point and the resistance ratio is defined as W(T)= R(T)/R(2.1768K), the calibration data of RhFe thermometer are fitted in the form of resistance ratio. Using a reference function and a correction function, simpler one-point, two-point and three-point calibration schemes are used and thermometers will be calibrated at 2.1768K, 13.8033K and 24.5561K respectively. Thirty-six RhFe thermometers from two sources, Tinsley and YIF, axe used under this study. If a proper reference function and a linear correction function are used, the maximum errors could decrease down below 0.5mK when the two-point calibration scheme is employed.
