Equation of Propagation of Uncertainty of Multivariate Non-linear Interpolation with Some Applications to Temperature Measurement
The total differential of a multivariate non-linear interpolation has been achieved in terms of implicit function for general case, and the equation of propagation of uncertainty is discussed. The total differentials and equation of propagation of uncertainty for all interpolations used in physical measurements can be derived from this result. To demonstrate the application, the equation of propagation of uncertainty of Sakuma-Hattori interpolation model in radiation thermometry and the ITS-90 interpolation model in the SPRT range are discussed.
