Algorithm of Measurement for Microfluidic Temperature by Using Micro-PIV Technique
An algorithm for the microfluidic temperature measurement by using microscopic particle image velocimetry (miero-PIV) is proposed in this study, which is based on stochastic cross correlation analysis. Research shows that the non-zero area of normalized stochastic cross correlation function for tracking particles image is larger than that of non-Brownian motion. The ratios between the non-zero area and total area of cross correlation function have almost linear variation from the absolute temperature of microfluid. Hence, the fit straight lines can be used to calibrate microfluidic temperature. This study gives a promising method to the visualized measurement of microfluidic temperature field.
