Measurement Uncertainties of Multi-band Pyrometry

The analysis of measurement uncertainties is necessary to weigh the performance of multi-band pyrometer.Within this paper, the measurement uncertainties are classified as three sources: 1) the uncertainties relative to the complex non-linearity calculation; 2) the uncertainties relative to the emissivity model assumption; 3) the uncertainties relative to the measurement errors. According to these sources, the investigations of the measurement uncertainties are processed through theoretical analyses and numerical calculations. For 1), the results show that the temperature deviation arising from the pseudo solution is very large in some case, and it should be eliminated with the discrimination ways. For2), we compare the temperature deviation between the linear emissivity model and the modified non-linearity model. For3), the effect of the measurement errors to the temperature deviation is discussed in detail.
