Eztraction of Partial Discharge Signal Feature with Chaos Oscillator and Adaptive Lifting Wavelet

Partial discharge(PD) signal is used to diagnose the faults of power transform. But it is often affected by external noise. A method, which can remove narrow-band interference and white noise in PD signal effectively, is put forward. Because the chaotic motion of the duffing oscillator is sensitive to the narrow-band interference signal and immune to the white noise, the method of detecting narrow-band interference signal based on Lyapunov exponents calculation and intermittent chaos is given firstly. Then, the method based on the improved second-generation wavelet transform is put forward, which is used to reduce the white noise in the partial discharge signal. The availability of the methods is verified by MATLAB simulation analysis.
