The Importance of Social Capital and Learning Orientation for Leveraging Knowledge Capabilities in Transition China
This study combines social capital, learning and knowledge management theory to develop an integrated model in transition China. We analyze the model using a structural equation model approach, and 198 manufacturing and service firms in China are selected as the samples of this study. The results conclude that: (1) The social capital is positively relative learning orientation; (2) Social capital is a function of knowledge energy; (3) Social capital will significantly impact on knowledge integration capability; (4) Learning orientation is a function of its knowledge integration capability; (5) Knowledge energy will significantly impact on knowledge integration capability; (6) Knowledge integration capability will significantly impact on organizational performance. Finally, implications for researchers and practitioners are presented.
