Design calculations on concrete-filled thin-walled steel tubes subjected to azially local compression
Based on a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) modeling for Concrete-filled Steel Tube (CFST) subjected to axially local compression, this paper investigates the effects of sectional type, local compression area ratio, steel ratio, strength of steel and concrete, and endplate thickness on sectional capacities. The para-metric studies provide information for the development of formulae for the calculation of the sectional capacity of CFST columns subjected to axially local compression.
