Interactive Multi-Style Abstract Video

In this paper, a novel approach for multi-style abstract video is presented. A sequence of images with multiple styles is generated from a single input image using the following two steps. Firstly. two rendering styles are specified by the user to abstract the input image. The user can choose one of the following rendering styles: oil-painting, watercolor, chalk,ink. brush-based oil-painting, and wooden style. After that,the layer information from the input image is learned with our improved image segmentation algorithm. The output abstracting video is then created through a translation of the input image from one style to the other, employing different interpolation functions on different layers. This approach mainly aims to re-render real-world images or handy images in various styles selected by the user. Our approach is capable of handling the images with various contents, and it also provides an interactive form of edutalnment.
