Investigations on Some of the Physical and Biometrical Properties of Planted Paulownia in North of Iran
Introduction Paulownia is native to the Orient. Although many species of Paulownia exist in Asia, It is also called the Chinese Empress tree, the Princess tree. The major commercial market is with Japan. Paulownia is used to make furniture, girl boxes, bowls, toys, clogs, handicrafts and musical instruments. The wood is also used for traditional products such as construction lumber, plywood and veneer. This paper aims at determining growth conditions and the plantation method, followed by exploring physical and biometrical properties of Paulownia species so as to find out different applications and optimize its use by more and better plantation.
