Study on Anatomical and Physical Mechanical Properties of Kenaf Core
Introduction Kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L) belongs to Hibiscus Maliace Dicotyledoneae which is a year of herbal fiber crops. The stalk of kenaf has phloem and xylem. Phloem fiber is light, moisture, breathable and other excellent performances which is good used in textile industry and paper industry. Xylem, that is kenaf core, often used as processing residues which were burned or discarded. With the improvement of peoples environmental awareness, kenaf core can be used for raw material of man-made board and paper industry. This can expand kenaf core use. To study kenaf core anatomical structure and physical mechanical properties can provide a theoretical basis for its processing and utilization.
