Pattern Recognition and Size Determination of Wood Inner Defects Based on Wavelet Neural Networks

Introduction Wood nondestructive detection technology is a new interdisciplinary technology, which has been successfully applied in wood production, wood processing, wood structure detection and many other fields. This paper carried out the indoor experiments for NDT of Elm wooden test samples. The relax-type wavelet neural networks were adopted to detect different types and size of wood defects by ultrasonic device.
