Edgewise Buckling of the Web of Prefabricated Wooden I-Joists under Perpendicular Loading

Such edgewise buckling performances under perpendicular loading of the web for prefabricated wooden I-Joist beam were found in this paper as: 1) Waferboard web appeared edgewise shearing rupture, but W-Ply appeared edgewise bending rupture; 2) The maximum perpendicular bearing capacity of W-Ply was higher than that of both WWB and BWB; the maximum perpendicular bearing capacity of bamboo waferboard web was higher than that of wood waferboard web; 3) The post edgewise buckling behaviors of wafeboad web was better than that of W-Ply.
