Current Research on Wood Cellulose Biosynthesis
Cellulose is a major component of wood cell walls, and is the most abundant biopolymer in the world. Despite its simple structure, omnipresence in tile plant kingdom, and ever increasing global importance as industrial raw material, the genetic and biochemical regulation of cellulose biosynthesis continues to be unclear. However, recent developments have given us clues that how to synthesis and deposition of cellulose is regulated. This paper is focused on current conceptions and recent findings.
