Antifungal Activity of Eztracts from Cryptomeriajaponica against Dermatophytes
IntroductionCryptomeria japonica is a widely distributed conifer in southern region of Korea, and it is also the popular material for structural housing1. In addition, its structural utilization, and bioactivities of extracts from leaves, barks, and heartwoods have been investigated by many researchers 2. However there has been little investigation concerning the dermatophytosis. Dermatophytosis refers to superficial infections of dermatophytes, most commonly with the genera Trichophyton, Microsporum. and Epidermophyton.
