An Ezperimental Research on Wood-Piezoelectric Laminated Plates
Introduction Wood-based composite is a kind of new structural material in nowadays for its good characteristics and is widely used in structural applications. Therefore, the problem about wreck and distortion with these materials has got more and more recognition. The structure engineers all want to get some ideas about the level of the strain caused by load, temperature, moisture, etc., and then seek an effective method to eliminate the distortion of these wood-based structures. Since the piezoelectric materials have the capability to convert mechanical energy in to electrical energy and vice versa, it is possible to use it as sensors and actuators within wood structures, and provide the capability of self-monitoring and self-controlling.
