Structure Design of Steam Generator Inspection Robot

For application of in-service inspection and repair in steam generator, an indigenous robotic system is developing initially, which is able to be used in many occasions, such as eddy current impection, ultrasonic inspection, plugging, sleeving, and television inspection. The robot include a foot base and six rotational joint modules. The feature of configure modularization not only improved the reliability and maintainability, but also met the requirements of different SG. The special work model, named hand-foot exchange, which improved the efficiency of service and decreased the levels of radiation. This paper introduces the robot with its system structure, components of construction, and results of test.
