Analysis of the natural circulation ability of a two loop system under ocean condition
An electricity heated single-phase natural circulation system with two symmetric loops is established and its natural circulation ability under ocean conditions have been studied with the newly developed reactor system analysis code RELAP5/MC which is developed from an advanced and independent node programming code RELAP5. It shows that that ocean conditions will influence the system natural circulation ability significantly and under most ocean conditions the system natural circulation ability will decline except for some front-back inclination condition. Moreover, the system flow rate behaves in some regular manners under ocean conditions. The calculation results all can be reasonably explained and the RELAP5/MC is partly verified.
