Analyzing Diverse Interpretation as Benefit of Inconvenience

This paper proposes a method for analyzing diverse interpretation of communication. Generally, information should be interpreted uniquely for efficient and correct communication. On the other hand, vague information has benefits such as promoting our imagination, training our inference ability, prompting our positive contribution, leading our comical misconceptions, etc. Routine works with rigid information sometimes make us get bored, which cause risks of accident. On the other hand, tasks with vague information enforce us to make positive contributions to the tasks and inference for accomplishing the tasks that brew our affirmative feelings. But too much vagueness leads misconceptions with risks of accidents. For involving the benefits of diverse interpretation to a new systems theory, they have to be discussed based on rigid frameworks. This paper proposes a mathematical framework for modeling diverse interpretation by extending Channel Theory, which is called a qualitative information theory, and applies the framework to examples of comical misconceptions. The results show that diversities are represented by diverseness of Infomorphism and mathematical constraints. Based on this model, the characteristics of diverseness, which are beneficial for involving inconvenience in designing systems, is discussed.
