Nuclear Knowledge Management and its Governance
There is a certain difference between conventional knowledge management and nuclear knowledge management. The objective of the paper is to re-identify elements of knowledge management specific to the nuclear energy field with reference to the traditional Japanese ideal. Based on reviewing existing cases of nuclear-related social issues or scandals, we have centered on the significance of the sense of governance in the activities. Especially, we have focused on the philanthropic implications in the concept of Keisei-Saimin that is the origin of Japanese word of economy, i.e., Keizai. The specific feature of nuclear energy can be the relationship with the society. This aspect should be reviewd from the standpoint of the Keisei-Saimin. As a esult, we have propose a revised elements of nuclear knowledge managemant.
