Optimization of Decolorization of Eztracts of Eriobotrya japonica by Response Surface Methodology
The conditions such as the dosage of activated carbon, decolorization time, and the decolorization temperature for decolorization the extract of Eriobotrya japonica were optimized by means of the response surface methodology (RSM), the light transmittance was chosen as the response value, and the mathematical regression model between different variables and the light transmittance was obtained using regression equation. Determination coefficient was 0.9333. The results demonstrated the optimum parameters of decolorization were: dosage of activated carbon, decolorization time, and the decolorization temperature were selected as 2.85g/ml, 35.5min and 70℃, respectively. Under the optimum parameters, the light transmittance was 83.6%.
