The Co-integration Analysis between the Coal Production and GDP in Shaanzi Province
Shaanxi is a province with abundant resources, with coal being a major resource. The consumption of energy increases as the economy grows. This paper carries out empirical investigation at the micro level, and combines quantitative and qualitative analysis to support the supply and demand analysis of Shanxi province. With the introduction of the co-integration theory, this paper researches into the relationship between the coal production and economic growth from 1985 to 2005 so as to provide suggestions to optimize the sustainable development of energy in Shanxi province.
