The Empirical Research of the Emergencies Impacted on the Economy
Since emergencies can lead to huge losses on national economy and peoples life, it is of great importance to study the problem of emergencies impacted on national economy. In this paper, by using Event Study Approach to take tests and evaluations on the impacts of different emergencies, we draw the conclusion that emergencies can make a continuous impact to economy, but this impact can be decreased effectively under the circumstance of early-warning and preparation. As a result, we should keep the principle of Prepare for the worst and put prevention first in the management of emergencies.
