Regional Difference Analysis of Scientific and Technological Strength and Statistics Study of Gini Coefficient
Obviously there exist regional odds at science and technology(S&T). Few researchers have been able to measure it with a proper comprehensive index. The objective of this study is to create an index-science and technology Gini coefficient, and a quantitative evaluation system. On the basis of data collected from S&T Statistical Yearbook 2002-2005 of 31 regions in P.R. China, the authors find that enhanced odds are authenticated, and disequilibrium emerges sensibly at western provinces. The results provide a broadly comparable ranking of regions, although a few indicators are not included. The authors explore research insights and discuss strategies for both academic and practice from government policy and the perspectives of S&T development.
